  • VM tier configuration. skuId (UUID) is the canonical identifier for the VM's SKU. When the SKU cannot be fully resolved, skuId is null, name is "Unknown", code/categoryCode are "unknown", and cpu/ram/disk are 0; use the degradedReason field to determine why.

  • VM lifecycle status. Rescuing and Unrescuing are transient transitions — the provider has accepted the operation but hasn't finished applying it. They settle to Rescue (success) or back to the prior state (failure) without further user action. A reset reports Stopping then Starting on every provider (CloudStack also Shutoff between them) before settling to Running. Destroyed is a VM removed at the provider before the platform row was retired; Unknown is a VM the provider did not report. UI should treat every transient as in-progress.
