Operating system images available for VM deployment. Images vary by data center — the image selector when creating a VM only shows images available in your chosen location.
How to Check Available Images
When creating a VM, select your data center first — the image selector then shows only the images available in that location.
Linux

| Ubuntu 24.04 LTS | The latest LTS release with updated packages and security improvements. Recommended for new deployments. |
| Ubuntu 22.04 LTS | LTS release with broad software support. Ideal for general workloads, web servers, and applications requiring long-term stability. |
| Debian 12.x | Stable, minimal base image. Well-suited for servers where predictability and low overhead are priorities. |
| Debian 11.x | Previous stable Debian release. Use when software compatibility with older Debian packages is required. |
| Alma Linux 10.x | Latest RHEL-compatible enterprise Linux. Good choice for workloads that require RPM packages and a Red Hat-compatible environment. |
| Alma Linux 9.x | RHEL-compatible enterprise Linux. Widely deployed with strong package availability and long-term support. |
| Alma Linux 8.x | Previous RHEL-compatible release. Use when targeting RHEL 8 compatibility. |
| Rocky 10.x | Latest Rocky Linux release. Community-driven RHEL-compatible OS focused on stability and long-term support. |

Windows
Microsoft Windows images are Bring Your Own License (BYOL) — bring your existing Microsoft license to run Windows on GPCN™.
Windows images do not support cloud-init. SSH key authentication is not available for Windows VMs — use password authentication instead.

Network/Security
Network/security appliance images do not support cloud-init. Authentication is configured at first boot through the VM console.

Custom Images
If you require an image that is not listed here, open a support request to have it added. We support images provided in ISO or QCOW2 format.
